While there have been large gains in computer technology, there are some people who cling to what previously worked for them and still live off the fax machine. Thankfully, there are ways to merge the computer experience with their technology.

This can mean that your faxing ability is much easier to work with, and that you'll be able communicate with people much easier. Specialized software as well as faxing hardware is helpful, however it depends on your unique situation.

There are advantages to both, but if you're not in a large corporate or institutional environment, you probably won't be considering the second.
