TM is a franchise that had its inception in 1995 and because of the fact that it was something different, it managed to attract attention and success in a very short timeframe. In 2011, it seems that the franchise has also reached its eight installment and there are no reasons to believe that thing are slowing down for it.
Twisted Metal PS3 is a game that is based on vehicle combat, something that you will not see too much nowadays. First, the game was announced to be released in October this year, but due to some problems and some changes, this was canceled and it was soon made public a new date for it, somewhere in the beginning of 2012.
So, when it comes to this game, you will be able to play it as four players split screen mode and if you want to play it online, then there is a maximum number of players of sixteen which is pretty much enough. When it comes to the new installment, there are no details to whether this title will get to be set in the same universe as the previous games or there will be a totally different one designed for it.
For people that would like a reference game to have this one compared, then I think you should look at UT or Unreal Tournament. It is certain that TM will exceed expectations of players all around the world, like it always does so if you are a beginner and would like to try it out, be prepared to die a lot. You need to have nerves of steel and don't think that if you will have the biggest gun and the meanest car, you will easily succeed in obliterating your opponents, because that is not how things work.
With the new installment, there are four factions that have been revealed for the public and they number the Clowns, Skulls, Preachers & the Dolls. There is not much time until this wonderful game will be released, so if you are feeling sorry because of the fact that the release date was postponed, don't be.
