Is Your Website Helping Your Business?

By Ali Rabbat

If you are trying to make money online, you simply must have a well designed website. Too many internet marketers put up quick, poorly designed websites that they haven't put much effort into. You may be able to put up a site quickly and cheaply, but you will regret this decision when you don't get the sales that you want. It is worth putting some work into building a high quality website, as you will be more than rewarded for this when people start visiting your site and buying your products. It is not really very hard to create a website that looks good and runs efficiently. These hints will get you started on making your website a popular online destination.

When you build your website, the graphics and text should be evenly balanced. Many internet marketers are inclined to place many pictures on their sites and not many written words. There is a popular notion that people surfing the internet like to look at pictures more than they like to read. You do have to limit the amount of written material on a page, but you also don't want to use images excessively either. One problem with too many images is that it makes your website take longer to load on people's computers. It's also true that words, when used well, can help to sell a product; if you use too many images, people might conclude there isn't much to say about the item. The trick is to use both graphics and text in such a way that neither is over-used or under-used.

The ideal for checking for broken links is every single day. You can go online and locate tools to check your links very fast and easy. You don't want to find yourself in the situation where you have an important link that is not working. Doing these important checks is fast, and it will help you with the search engines so the spiders can crawl your site. So, there are only good reason to do this, and it's just a good idea for your business.

Always be sure your site loads fast. Everyone hates slow-loading websites, and you'll lose potential buyers if your's does. If you make them wait for too long they'll just move on to another site. Take steps to ensure that your site is loading as quickly as possible by cutting back on the images and that your code is correct.

Building a website that looks good and is easy to navigate is not that hard. Do it step by step and use your best judgment and you won't go wrong. The most profitable websites are those that look the best and are easy for visitors to read and navigate. Anyone can simply put up a website, but this by itself won't make you successful. In this competitive environment, you need a good website to make money.
