There's More To Online Gaming Than Left-Handed Mouses - Cool Tricks And Tips

By Willard Allison

Gamers often have impressive skills operating left handed mouses, but there's quite a bit more to this online community than that. There is obviously something to the online gaming phenomenon, as millions of players compete in hugely popular role playing games such as World of Warcraft and EverQuest and a wide variety of other MMORPGs (Massive MultiPlayer Online Role Playing Games). Some people take gaming very seriously. Others only play once in a while. What kind of gamer do you want to be? You want to approach gaming in the way that's right for you. Let's look at some strategies to help you get more out of the time you spend gaming.

It can be a total pain sometimes if you're left-handed. Did you ever notice how lots of different controllers are manufactured for the right hand? Luckily with most MMORPGs, you have the ability to assign special keys on your keyboard to do certain tasks. It's not perfect, but you will have the power to make your own keyboard shorts for gaming. You can still develop into a role playing game demigod if you use the lefty mouse and the keyboard shortcuts.

You can get great feedback simply by asking for it. It can feel strange if you're new to a left-handed mouse and keyboard shortcuts. There's also nothing wrong with being friends with more experienced left-handed players, and then just ask for any tricks they may know. Even if you have good control over your mouse and keyboard, it can't hurt to ask long time players for their advice on how to have a better time in the game's universe. People can be predictable in some ways because you will discover they love helping other people, usually. When you're no longer a n00b, you will do the same to others and help them.

You and everyone else plays online games because they're fun, and that's all anyone wants to have - fun. If you take it too seriously or try to be super stubborn about getting your own way, you won't have any fun.

If you feel you need to say anything to somone, always maintain a polite manner and don't say it in public. The thing about this area of concern is that the other team members can feel down if things are spoken in the open. Online gaming is meant to be a fun way to pass the time. Now it exists a separate and huge online community, and they're serious and welcoming to new members. Yet people still just want to have fun with it and be sociable. But make no mistake, something as simple as a left-handed mouse will have an impact on your experience. The most important thing as always is to have a great time with your friends.
