I have been a hardcore gamer for more than 10 years now I got all the gear and all the consoles, well most of the consoles. I enjoyed killing diabo in diablo 1,2 and 3, i had fun wining the world of skyrim, and I definitely enjoyed guild wars 2 and the world of warcraft.
Highly expected Games that are disappointing that is what I feel we are getting in the past couple of years.
Games which i spend my hard-earned money on like diablo 3 or gw 2 and after no more then a week these games just getting to old and too boring.
I should point out I'm not the easiest person to please or what you usually call the average gamer. I'm pretty much hardcore and I generally only go for online games, and yet I feel there are no new ideas in the online gaming world.
Every day, its seems we get a new promising game just to have it delivered with a six-month delay(when it's fast) and after an hour of two playing the game I simply feel there's nothing fresh or interesting and I move on.
There is an heavy buzz around many gaming community that every game is just boring and game makers are just out of ideas.
The gaming gear is becoming better every year stronger computer,better screen ,motion controllers for hand moments or finger motions all this can give us ten times better games then what we got today and yet nobody has the courage to try and get a new game engine up or test a new idea.
I can understand, maybe they're saying don't fix what is not broken it might be true in some cases, for example, the world of warcraft mists of pandaria. The world of warcraft is the largest online game in the world and yet it a drop lately although the new mists of pandaria blizzard expect a rise in subscribes.
No problem then don't remake the world of warcraft no one wants that, but where is the new graphic. Where is some gaming innovation all, we find today are comic like games from steam.
Not all games are boring, for the past two years I enjoyed playing a game called the league of legends aldo it's somewhat a remake to a game called dota.
There is one exception in all of this in the recent few months we got a new game called the secret world which has a fantastic idea for it but because of its complexity it is currently really bad on the controls and movement animations, but at least they are giving us something new.
Back in the day I used to love trying game after gamer but now when my time is short, and I only got an hour a day to play sometimes none I prefer actually playing games instead of trying a new one each day.
Relaxing and playing games on my spare time is still one of the best ways I enjoy spending my time when I'm not working.
