One trick you can use that doesn't require removing the keys is to tip the netbook on it's side and rapidly press the sticking key in and out. This will dislodge the particle and free up the key. Make sure you tip your computer in such a way that the particle doesn't get lodged under an adjacent key.
4.) Avoid allowing your batteries to reach a full discharged state. This will reduce the charge storage capacity. This will also happen if you always leave your batteries hooked into a battery charger even when they are already fully charged. Batteries operate best when they are partially discharged and recharged. If you stay on top of this, your batteries will last for a long time.
Those who wait until their netbooks are having problems before giving them proper attention usually are the ones who only get a couple of years out of their machines if even that.
